What's New at the Western Mining and Railroad Museum
We have finally started updating and modernizing our website. The first step in this process will be to enlarge the photos. In the future you will be able to click on the photo and see a 4”x4” enlargement. The resolution will be suitable for the web, but will lack the quality to make a good print. We will continue to sell copies at the posted prices.
Below is a photo of the museum assistant, Jason Huntzinger, creating the larger photos for the update to the website.
Our good friend and new volunteer, Ernie Prettyman, is working very hard to get our G-scale train town cleaned up so we can get it running this year. We are grateful to have him and thank him for his help!
This painting is found on the back side of a canvas painting by Howell Rosenbaum. It is a WPA (Works Progress Administration) sponsored painting and it was common during this era to paint on the back of other paintings, since money for canvas was scarce. Does anyone recognize what this painting may be of? It is most likely somewhere in Utah.
